A Great Day Out For Touch Teams & Families
Jump on the ferry with friends and whanau and join us for the 2021 Waiheke Island Touch Competition. Touch, fun and sun accompanied by DJ MANCHOO playing the beats! (DMC NZ DJ champion, 2017 3Style DJ Battle Runner up, ITF NZ Champion, 2017 Kame House NZ DJ Champion and Mixshow DJ on Flava 95.8)
DATE: Saturday 6th February 2021, 9am – 4pm
LOCATION: Onehangi Sports Park, Waiheke Island – 15 minutes by car from the Mataitia Ferry Stop (Fullers)
ENTRY COST: $220 per team (excludes ferry ticket prices but does include free Transfers from the Ferry terminal to the sports park)
GRADES: Mixed Social, Seriously Social, Mens Over 35 and Mens Social
CAPACITY: 30 Teams
- Minimum of 4 games per team
- Strictly Social with no more than 3 current provincial reps on the field at any one time
- Children are welcome to play in the mixed grade — with boys 12 and under counting as females
- Women may play in the Mens Over 35’s Grade
WHAT TO BRING:
Sunscreen, Team Gazebo (due to minimal available shade), chilly-bin (you can fill it on the island), a smile, chilled attitude, cash to support food stalls!
GETTING TO WAIHEKE ISLAND:
We are proud to announce the official involvement of Fullers as our Travel partner to the event.
Fullers 360 will offer all event participants and their families/supporters the opportunity to purchase an Early Bird ferry discount of 20% from 16 September to November 30 2019 on return ferry tickets. They can be purchased via the callcentre or website using the promo code: FULLERSTOUCH.
Fullers will also be sponsoring free bus shuttles on the early morning ferry sailings and at the end of the event.
TRANSFERS TO VENUE:
Fullers Ferries arrive at the Matiatia Terminus. There are a host of public and private bus suppliers that will be on standby to transfer players to Onetangi Sports Park, about 15 minutes away. There will be event specific free shuttles (from Matiatia only) on the early morning sailings as well as every half-our after the event until 6pm.
