Newmarket (Winter)

WINTER Touch is an INVITE ONLY competition. NEW and EXISTING TEAMS must still Enter online now, to be placed on the Waiting / Consideration list. This competition is hosted on the awesome artificial pitch at St Peter’s College. This is a 5 aside competition as the pitches are slightly narrower. There are men’s and a mixed grades. Price includes referees fees. There is a no-cancellation policy as it is impossible to close down artificial pitches due to rain.

General Overview

• 2 separate seasons throughout Winter, i.e. Autumn and Winter
• 5 aside (not conventional 6)
• In Mixed it is 3:2 Male Female ratio
• Mens, Mens Social & Masters, Mixed Open and Mixed Super Social Grades

Times and Dates

Autumn League

Monday Evenings from 12th April 2021

• 12-weeks of games
• 5:35pm (Corporate), 6:10pm, 6:45pm, 7:20pm, 7:55pm. (played as two 16 minute halves)

Winter League

Monday Evenings from 9th August finishing before Labour Weekend

• 12 weeks of games * (This season has been shortened to 10 weeks owing to COVID)
• 5:35pm (Corporate), 6:10pm, 6:45pm, 7:20pm, 7:55pm. (Two 16 minute halves)

Following the Autumn and Winter leagues Summer Touch is played at Victoria Park.

• 3 Artificial Touch Pitches. Not much dead-ball area so take it easy
• Changerooms and a Pavillion from which to take cover
• Parking in the streets around the school
